They’ve released a new trailer for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button – and it’s much more detailed than the first one which only piqued our curiosity (no pun intended!).
It looks fantastic! I love movies that are different and original. Brad Pitt is going to be amazing in the role of Benjamin and I’m eager to see it. It opens on December 25th, which is unfortunate for me since there’s no way I’ll be able to see it then, but I know Christmas Day movies often do quite well and this should pull in a lot of people.
What are your thoughts on the trailer?
(It made me laugh that as I was typing this up, Entertainment Tonight was playing the same trailer!)
Thanks to reader 804 for the heads’ up!

I hunger for films like this. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Being John Malkovich, etc. These films are like a “good” knock against the head and when successfull allow us to see the important things in life from a truely unique and fresh perspective. Really looking forward to this and The Time Traveler’s Wife.

Yes, I remember that, Cristine. It will be great to see both Brad and Shiloh in the movie.
I miss Angie a lot, too. Can’t imagine it has been 3 months since we last saw her pictures. The twins should be around 3 months old now. Hope they are all doing fine.

I read the novela and I can’t wait to see the movie. I have to say that Brad is an amazing actor and definitely very handsome. It gave me chills… wow. The other night I was watching a program on PBS and this very familiar voice came out of our TV. Brad is/was the narrator for this series on this project in Egypt. One the architects that is involved with the New Orleans project is working with Brad on this public park in Cairo. Brad never cease to amaze me, he is truly a Renaissance Man.

His most recent project brings to life the F. Scott Fitzgerald story The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, about a man who ages backwards, directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett and Taraji P. Henson (Hustle and Flow).
MVFF’s Tribute to Eric Roth opens with clips from his career, followed by an onstage interview. Next comes a special viewing of clips from his latest film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Finally, Benjamin Button co-star Taraji P. Henson joins Roth onstage to discuss their new film and engage in a Q-and-A with the audience.
New York–born writer Eric Roth realized every screenwriter’s dream with his Oscar™ winning adaptation of Winston Groom’s novel, Forrest Gump, an immediate Hollywood classic with some of the most quoted movie dialogue ever. In Gump, Roth masterfully captures turbulent times in American history, from segregation to the civil rights movement to the Vietnam War and the Watergate scandal, in a uniquely humorous manner, through the eyes of a simple man living in a complex era. Roth continued this visionary approach in adapting The Postman and The Horse Whisperer for the screen, following them up with further success in The Insider, Ali, Munich and The Good Shepherd.

The trailer was so dark it was really hard to tell what was going on…I hate movies that have dark lighting..but I’ll def. have to go see it anyway cuz Brad’s in it.Hope it’s not dark all the way through, some light would be nice so in the younger(older?) scenes we can see Brad’s handsome face.
