Trip Down Memory Lane: Things end badly for David Cubitt in the Apocalypse

Right after Medium started, David Cubitt starred in a made-for-TV movie called 10.5 Apocalypse. He plays Dr. Jordan Fisher, who along with a pre-Army Wives Kim Delaney, is trying to save the United States from disaster. 10.5 Apocalypse involves several seismic events that basically destroy the better part of the country, and split the U.S. and Canada in half.

In this scene, Cubitt is in a helicopter, talking to a very anxious Kim Delaney. He’s over the Hoover Dam, but the water is rising, and things do not exactly end well for our fair Detective Scanlon.

Love, love this miniseries and it’s not that bad from an objective standpoint. And I don’t just love it b.c of David. The first one (there’s a 2nd one in which they kill off David and he’s not in it) is good. The girl from Big Bang Theory is in it as is what’s his name from The Dukes of Hazard. Kim Delaney is very good and is the kind of star who would be great opposite our Scanlon instead of the blonde one. David and Kim have great chemistry in other scenes of this flick.

Kim Delaney = the moment the O.C. writers lost the plot. I never did quite forgive them for that storyline. I’m so glad that so far the Medium writers haven’t fallen into the trap – we don’t know how to write for a long-term married couple, let them have an affair rubbish.

Scanlon is always clean-shaven, right? We’ve never seen him looking like the character in this clip?
