Last night we got a chance to pick the brains of some of the castmembers from the Real Housewives of Atlanta: Sheree Whitfield, NeNe Leakes and Lisa Wu Hartwell. The first thing we noticed was that they were all standing arm in arm — with statuesque NeNe towering over little Lisa BTW — and we had to ask: are you all friends now?
“We always were,” Lisa said, acting like the threesome hadn’t had some huge throwdowns over their reality show’s two seasons.
“You know argue and keep moving? It’s a good thing,” NeNe said.
“I still love them at the end of the day,” Lisa went on. “I’ll go off on NeNe, she’ll go off on me, then I’ll get mad at Sheree, then Sheree will get mad at me…that’s how sisters are. Any great relationships with friends, you guys fall out sometimes.”
So even though Lisa trashtalked Sheree’s clothing line and fashion show — and Sheree didn’t even show at Lisa’s show — the group’s still bff? We’re not buying it.
Another thing we’re not buying: the group’s complete ignorance of recent news about Atlanta housewife Kim‘s reported lesbian relationship. When we asked what they thought of “the recent news about Kim” all three said, “What news?” When we told them, we were greeted with rolled eyes.
“She’s not,” Lisa said. “Come on.”
“Lesbians don’t look like that,” NeNe added. “Somebody’s trying to blow it out. Whatever. Just look at our faces.” (Then she made a very incredulous face.)
So now we don’t know. Is Kim a lesbian? Is she straight? Do the ladies just fight for TV? Or do they really hate each other, but only behind their backs? What do you think?
