I’m soooo excited that Taylor Lautner is returning in the role of Jacob for New Moon, but how does the cast feel about it? THE SAME of course.
Extra TV caught up with Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria) and Ashley Greene (Alice) to get their reactions on Taylor’s big news. They also asked Ashley how she feels about the rumor that Vanessa Hudgens may be auditioning for the role of Leah Clearwater. Do you agree with her reaction?
OMG, IF VANESSA PLAYS LEAH CLEARWATER, SHE WOULD RUIN THE WHOLE TWILIGHT MOVIE SERIES.

I can definitly see Vanessa as Leah..
However, I think it just sounds weird for her to be in new moon because of the rep she built up with high school musical… we are all so used to seeing her as gabriella montez, and havent really seen her portray another character… i think this is a good change of pace for her

I agree with cullen, lee and lesleigh, it would be nice to see her in a serious movie, you never know, you-ve only seen her in disney movies, she might surprise us! don-t start predicting shes goin to ruin it, you are no alice cullen, you have no right to say shes goin to ruin it if you-ve only seen her in musicals.in disney. she acts sweet because thats what the role is about. although she is a sweet girl, i-m talking about acting and youve never seen her in a serious role, chillax… i hope she gets the part, I can imagine her as leah, oh yes i can. and if she gets it remember there is a director that will gtell her what expressions (sp??) to use and how to move, etc… she-ll have someones help, maybe she-ll read the books. be positive. we knoe vanessa husgens is not dumb enough to act like gabriella montez in a twilight movie… shes really passionate about her job, she-ll do her best if they choose her. just think about it.

I kind of hope Vanessa gets the role (but I won’t be crying if she doesn’t), ’cause I’d really like to see her doing a non-musical movie for once (not complaining about the musicals at all, it’s just…I don’t know).

i’m fine with vanessa playing leah so we can also see her in a movie not doing any singing nd this could be a new thing for her in newmoon playing a werewolf well,if she gets the part i’m very excited to watch her phase from human to werewolf!
I am soo excited that taylor is coming back but i dont think vanessa is proper for the role of leah…and she just dosnt look the part eiether….i have nothing aganist disney stars but having any disney star in a twilight movie but actully ruin it
i personally don’t want her to be in it. i don’t really like her and i think she is too kiddish for the role. but that’s just my opinion:)
