Tyra Banks has been dating businessman John Utendahl for quite a while now, but has yet to admit it to the public. However, they’ve been seen out together quite a bit, including last night at the BLT Market in Midtown Manhattan.
The two look quite smitten with each other, walking close together and holding hands. Tyra’s given several interviews in the past about how hard it is for her to find a boyfriend and to keep a healthy, stable, long-term relationship, so I’m glad to see this one is working out.
I think Tyra looks great here, but do you really need a bag that large when you’re on a date?

YEAAAHHHHHHHH FOR YOU TYRA>>>>HOPE IT WORKS OUT FOR THE LONG RUNN G>> in BOSTON
I’m not really an ANTM fan anymore but I do love Tyra. I must say this is the nicest gossip column I’ve ever read.
Anyway, back to all ANTM! : )

The scheduling between NYC and L.A. is supposedly based on Tyra’s talkshow filming schedule. During the taping, the shows are in NYC and during the long hiatus, the shows are in L.A. For cycle 10, during Xmas break, she was in Italy for the overseas portion.
Thanks milkyaqua, I hadn’t heard that. Hopefully Cycle 12 in N.Y. would be better than Cyle 10
ANTM is supposed to switch back and forth between L.A. and NYC during the remainder of its run. So even cycles will be in NYC and odd cycles will be in L.A. At least that’s how it was supposed to work when the announcement was the show would be on for several more cycles.
You’re welcome…I come on here all the time:)
I agree with you about ANTM going back to N.Y. although I am an East Coast girl, I think the majority of the audience leans more towards L.A. celebrity ‘fits. So, I think it was good to go back to L.A. for cycle 11. Plus, I think it makes sense production wise since Bankable Prods is out of L.A. With Bankable Enterprises being based out of New York I think it lends to the high-fashion editorial style I prefer. Nothing wrong with being bi-coastal when it comes to expanding your brand…if you can pull it off.
Have a great holiday!
Qiana,
Very true! And thanks for the comment! :-)
do you know why, though, ANTM returned to LA for cycle 11? I loved the return to NY, but the sudden switch back irked me. I think ANTM could build a stronger brand (LA for hip, celeb fashion stuff or NY for high-fashion, editorial stuff) if they stayed put somewhere and focused on the benefits of that location.
Tyra has addressed that rumor on her show and in print interviews. It is completely untrue. The move to New York for the talk show had nothing to do with the guy she wanted a new energy for the show. She admitted being insulted by this rumor. Who wouldn’t be. It’s not like she was glued to Los Angeles. Tyra is fiercely (pardon the pun) considerate of her Tyra Show family, so much so that in order to keep up the tradition of being able to give her staffers Holiday bonuses she is forgoing her annual holiday jaunt out of the country for a stay-cation. I think people should be quicker to give her the benefit of the doubt than being so quick to believe the negative. Anyway…sorry to unload, but this has been bothering me since that rumor started. I feel lighter…lol. BTW, I love this site Erin.
milkyaqua-i think that’s exactly the reason. a lot of tyra’s brand has been built on the fact she’s a strong, independent woman who doesn’t need a man to define herself. The fact she threw both her shows and her company into upheaval for a guy goes against all that.
Considering this is the guy that she supposedly pulled up stakes and moved to New York for, I don’t know why she’s being so coy. Supposedly a lot of her L.A. staff was left stunned considering she announced the NYC move only a few weeks before it happened leaving a lot of the L.A. staff in the lurch.
whats with the shoes?
