Ugly Betty Episode 4.08 Video Podcast

Here are Michael Urie and Becki Newton in the video podcast or “vodcast as they sometimes call it” for Ugly Betty, associated with episode 4.08, The Bahamas Triangle.

The vodcast starts with Michael and Becki singing the Betty theme, joined by a sea lion.  They are at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.  They then speak with the sea lion named Cassie’s trainer, in an informative little segment.

For instance, I never knew that “cay” is pronounced “key”.  I guess I’ve often made a fool of myself quite often on vacation.  :)

The trainer has a cute hug with the sea lion, then they switch scenes and start talking about last week’s episode, 4.07, Level(7) with me.  They show Michael’s injury from the filming of the episode, where he wiped out running down 10th street.  I remember the scene, and I had no idea it was “real”, but Urie has quite a hunk of skin missing from his knee.  Ouch!

Then they preview tonight’s episode, letting us know about Troy (played by Matt Newton), the love triangle, Marc’s teaming up with Daniel, and they reveal that Wilhelmina is going to actually eat a cheeseburger in grief over Connor.

It’s interesting that they call Troy “the male Amanda.  I can’t wait to see that.

They compare the episode to when Growing Pains had “destination” episodes.  Heh.  Then Becki Newton does a very bad Shakira impression.

They then saunter to the water, where Becki pushes Michael into the water, drawing a laugh from the crew.

This looks like so much fun – can’t wait to see the episode tonight at 9!

I enjoyed last night`s episode, although I didn’t exactly think it was the high point this season. But let me tell you that the writers are REALLY on their game…the thing of Mark working for Daniel and Amanda going to bed with Daniel just for sex and fun was very very clever.
One note: I still don’t get it…what happened with the epifany Amanda had about her future???? REALLY DON”t GET IT.

Let`s play for the ratings, now!!!

Just realized something…where was Ignacio in this episode??? In addition to the last episode, this means Tony Plana was away for 2 complete episodes…that`s weird. I wonder if something happened with him?! Oh-oh….I hope this is not a sign of an upcoming new exit from the show!!!

Ratings are out.Better than last week but still very bad. I hoped for a 5.0 but maybe those 10 first minutes of the show in New York screwed it a little. After all, one could expect they would explore any and every possible scene in the Bahamas. My bad. Not a producer nor a writer.

the last 2 episodes was great closure on Amanda’s past with Claire and Daniel. First she forgave Claire for killing her mother and as for Daniel it was a nice way to put their past to rest for good and move on to finding true love. Sometimes before you can go forward you have to put permanent closure on the past of who they usede to be.
