Here is the first sneak peek for Ugly Betty episode 4.14, Smokin’ Hot.

So, it’s Fashion Week, which always makes for a crazy episode. This particular preview starts with Marc (whose bangs are back again) , using a life-sized cardboard Wilhelmina to demonstrate to Betty the proper way of addressing Ms Slater.
He emphatically tells Betty to never look Wilhelmina in the eyes or in the knees. (?) If you must address her, you should look at her shins or toes.
Marc tells Betty to be his “Vanna White” and let him do all the talking. He insists she not talk because the second Betty starts to talk about “being true to herself”, Willie will start texting on her Blackberry, and they’ll lose her.
They are interrupted by Amanda, who asks them to pitch her designs she’s created with her partner Helen. Marc punts to Betty, but motions to her that under no circumstances is she to say yes; apparently the designs are terrible.
Amanda is quite pushy,and leaves assuming she has talked Betty into presenting her designs alongside the new up-and-coming designer they’ve found, Marissa.
Now, if you’ve seen the promo for this episode, you know there is going to be a fire at the Suarez house, and that “the clothes” are going to be inside. So, those of us who have seen every episode of the show can pretty easily guess how this will go.
But, it would be interesting if Wilhelmina actually chooses Amanda’s designs, then they are damaged, and Marissa’s designs will be there to save the day. But, it’s more than likely going to happen the other way around.
No doubt, it will be done well, though. The Fashion Week episodes are always some of the best.
