Just imagine if you were a fan of Michael Jackson and were in the Big Brother house right now? Unfortunately, you wouldn’t get the news of his death until you emerged from the house.
We have found out that the houseguests are kept very much in the dark about world events. I’ve seen one houseguest get word of his grandmother’s passing while in the house, but other than that, they are kept shielded from any word from home. It’s the same in the UK Big Brother house, apparently.
According to BBSpy, the Big Brother housemates (as they are called there) will not be told o Michaels’ passing. Here’s a bit of an explanation:
“If it was a relative we would speak to their family and tell them in private.
“But to tell them about Michael Jackson would break the part of the rules that we don’t let them have any contact with the outside world while they’re in the house.”
Posting on her official Twitter page earlier, host Davina McCall added:”If they tell them about Michael, what about Farrah [Fawcett], what about telling Siavash about Iran? Where do they draw the line?
