It always makes me a little sad to hear that couples are splitting up, even if those couples happen to be celebrities! Uma Thurman and fiance Arpad Busson have apparently decided to call off their year-long engagement. The two have been separated for a couple of months already but say they have remained friends.
They began dating in the summer of 2007 and became engaged a year later when Busson popped the question with an 8+ carat engagement ring, which Uma plans to return. A source close to the couple says that it was likely their work schedules and constant separation that caused the split.
Uma has been previously married to actors Gary Oldman, and then Ethan Hawke, with whom she shares two children.
