Updates on the Universal Harry Potter theme park

wizarding-world-1.pngMore updates on the slowly but surely coming Harry Potter theme park currently being constructed in Florida. Here’s the scoop:

  • The Harry Potter attractions area, to open in late 2009 at Islands of Adventure, will include a Hogwarts castle, a Hogsmeade Village and more than one ride.
  • There is much speculation on the Internet and among Universal fans that the ride code-named Project Rumble will be a Harry Potter-themed roller coaster, because Universal filed a notice for that project with Orange County in January for a contract for a ride system from Mauer Rides GmbH, a large German company known worldwide as a leading builder of roller coasters.

Honestly, this sounds fantastic. I plan on a big vacation to Florida once they’ve got this puppy up and running!!

I think Harry Potter is awesome, but seriously a theme park? Really?! Harry potter is not going to last forever! I Think the theme park will not be as cool in a few years once the movies are done and no one reads the books. :-)

I read my kids Beatrix Potter’s writings and that was published in 1901. My kids love The Wizard of Oz and that came out in 1939. I expect my great grandchildren to love Harry Potter as much as I do. This is one of the best money making moves Universal Studios has made, and I can’t wait to take my kids to see it.

OMG! one thing to say is
    “I AM SO GOING”
with this theme park. Harry Potter well be forever and ever, even if the movies are all over. It’s just something that has to stay forever!!!

There is no harry potter rollercoaster. The new coaster is for citywalk and its called the rockit.

Look at star wars. That was made over 20 years ago and people still love it and go to the Star War weekends at Disney every year. Harry Potter will be around for awhile, especially once the kids of today pass it on to the kids of tomorrow

“Harry potter is not going to last forever!”

    Sadly, I agree!

I wish it would go on, and on, and on…after all, once Harry and Jinny and Ron and Hermoine get married, their children will be attending Hogwarts won’t they?

That would make for some good stories.

    What’s with that J.K.?
