VDay, or as some are calling it this year, “Black Saturday” is almost here. Whether you have someone special or not, there are lots of shows going on this weekend.

If you are looking to spend this Valentine’s weekend musically, here are some options:

- Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings will be at Nokia Theater Friday and Saturday. Listen to this soul singer sing her heart out–it doesn’t get more romantic than that. Tickets here.

- Feel like jamming all night long? moe. is at Terminal 5 on Friday and Saturday night. Tickets here. There is also after parties both nights at Sullivan Hall.
- If you are up late night on Friday, head to The Shank in Greenpoint to hear Lemonade and Tanlines.
- If you feel like heading to Jersey, check out romantic Rufus Wainwright at the Wellmont Theater.
- Want to dance? Head to Webster Hall Friday night to hear Xavier de Rosnay of Justice do a DJ set. RSVP here for $10 admission.
- Want some dinner with your music on Saturday night? (le) Poisson Rouge is serving dinner for it’s Evening of Sensual Music with Lusine, Grouper, Michael Brofman (performing works of Erik Satie), and the Sight Below. There is even three options for dinner! Get tickets here.
- Feeling broke? Japanther and Ninjasonik will be at BAM Cafe on Saturday night for FREE.
- Los Campesinos! and Titus Andronicus will be at the Bowery Ballroom on Saturday night. Not so romantic…but fun! They are also playing Sunday night. Tickets here.
- Want to stay away from the big venues? Head to Glasslands on Saturday to hear Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, Wild Yaks, The 100 and the Hands, and Rain Machine (with Kyp Malone from TV on the Radio). Entry is $8.
- In Jersey Saturday night? Head to Maxwell’s to hear the Legendary Shack Shakers and O’Death. Tickets here.
- The Virgins and Mike Bones will be at Music Hall of Williamsburg on Saturday. Tickets here.
