Tom Cruise’s “Valkyrie” is being released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 19th. Despite all of the critics (and there were A LOT of critics), the movie has brought in a worldwide gross of nearly $200 million.
There are quite a few extras included. Here’s a little information about what you can expect to find:
Extras include two audio commentaries (with Tom Cruise, director Bryan Singer and co-screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie, and McQuarrie and co-screenwriter Nathan Alexander), and a patch of six featurettes ("The Journey to Valkyrie," "The Road to Resistance: A Visual Guide," "The African Front Sequence," "Taking to the Air," "Recreating Berlin," "92nd Street Y: Reel Pieces with Tom Cruise and Bryan Singer," "The Valkyrie Legacy").
Included on the standard DVD is a digital copy of the film. I will definitely be getting this film on DVD.

The extras really make these DVD’s. I love seeing what they went through to make the film, or how they were feeling through it all. Hope this one went all out with that.
I am happy for TC that it brought in 200 mil world-wide because I can see that he really worked his tail off promoting it. I mean, my goodness, he certainly has traveled extensively, walked tons of red carpets and pressed alot of palms so kudos to him, the cast and crew….the amt. of time devoted to marketing this film has been staggering so they all deserve a good profit! I may buy this DVD although I am not sure. I have read and watched alot regarding Nazi Germany so I am not sure what new things I might learn from this particular DVD, but I will see.!! On another note, whats up with The Fan on Comcast declaring that Katie has to confess to TC whenever she has lunch with a friend, etc. as part of her purification rundown detox? Reportedly, she must write weekly confessions to TC stating her whereabouts etc. This story is too fantastic to be true. I simply cannot believe this latest. I feel that TC is demanding with Katie, but to this absurd extent? No way….wonder how this crazy story got started!!!!
tom Iam so happy that your movie did so well. well it did great, and I will be buying it when comes out on DVD. susan kuby stassi,
Jenna..I don’t believe this story either, why does she have to write a confession on having lunch with a friend or whatever , I’m sure she tells him what she does or where she goes just like any other wife does, through her mobile phone, at breakfast, lunch, dinner, or in bed.
All Toms recent dvds have these extras , they are really interesting, I’ll get it because I have so many of his movies. For me personally, I love The Last Samurai, and I always put it on, when its cold and raining, and I’m lying on the sofa in front of the heater. I can watch it over and over, and I still want to see it again. I love that movie so much.
I am so happy for Tom, 200 million and counting. And Friedman said no one wanted to see this movie. I guess he must be crying in his cups. I will definitely be adding this to my DVD collection.
