Vanessa Marano may or may not have captured your heart as April Nardini on Gilmore Girls, but she’s definitely making progress in the industry. Although she’s only been seen in a couple of tv epsidoes since Gilmore Girls, Vanessa has four new projects underway, and I have a feeling we’ll be seeing quite a lot more of her.

Vanessa Marano’s Projects:
- Truth in Advertising - a drama about the employees at the Chicago advertising agency Rothman, Greene & Moore. Vanessa stars as Haley McGuire, daughter to the main stars of the film, Sarah Clarke and Eric McCormack (Will & Grace).
- The Clique – a comedy in which Vanessa stars as Layne Abeley, best friend to Claire, the new girl in school. Layne is food-obsessed and one of the "Losers Beyond Repair." The movie is based on the books by Lisi Harrison and will be released to DVD on November 11, 2008.
- Stopping Power – Vanessa stars as Tracey in this thriller, which involves a criminal on the run. The criminal steals an RV with Vanessa’s character Tracey inside, and her father is forced to help the criminal escape when her life hangs in balance. This movie is currently filming and is rumored to co-star John Cusack as well as Melissa George and Jason Isaacs.
- Man of Your Dreams – a made-for-tv movie, a comedy, where a womanizer uses his experience to help women with romance troubles. Vanessa stars as Maia. The movie has not yet begun filming.

I really need to grow up … but I’ll always remember her as the girl who instigated the downfall of Luke and Lorelai!!

She really is full of talent, and deserves it. I wish all cast of GG had so many projects also.
The downfall of Luke and Lorelai? If the show had followed the right direction, the character of Luke would have been enriched thanks to his relationship with his daughter, and he would have had more chance to really forge eternal links with Lorelay. The theme of the adolescence was ever present in GG. But Lorelay was, in many aspects more mature than Luke. He had to grow up in order to really reach her. But, unfortunately, that aspect of the show, – April entering Luck’s life and the good effect that would have resulted – had never been really developed…

Hopefully that annoying voice was just for the April role. I have not seen her in anything else but I couldn’t stand to hear her talk. She just didn’t sound natural, it really sounded like she was acting.
