Awhile back I mentioned – as did several people in comments as reminders – that Angelina Jolie was nominated as the “most beautiful woman in the world” over at Vanity Fair. The votes came in, and Angelina was the winner by an absolute landslide.
I will pause as you all take a moment to say, “Well DUH”.
Angelina swept up a whopping 58% of the votes, leaving Gisele Bundchen (also very beautiful and my favorite model!) a very distant second with only 9% of the votes!
We already knew she was undeniably gorgeous and this is not the kind of thing that Angie herself would ever really care about, but it’s fun anyway and it shows that the people who admire her physical appearance are certainly not in the minority!

The 23-year-old singer dished to People all about her new album and her starstruck celeb encounter.
Ashley shared, “I actually met Angelina Jolie in an airport in Germany. We were both in the VIP room and I thought, ‘If i don’t do this, I’m going to regret this for the rest of my life.’ I went into her room and the woman I was with was, ‘Someone wants to meet you.’ She asked, ‘What are you here for?’ I said, ‘I’m going to Rome for the High School Musical 3 premiere. I’m the blond one, I just darkened my hair.’ She was like, ‘Oh my gosh, Zahara loves your outfits!’ Because the kids were watching the movies. I was like, ‘I love Zahara.’”
I also think Angelina is gorgeous and this is very deserving because she’s beatiful inside and out.

I really think that Angie deserves this title. She truly is the most beautiful woman on earth. And Brad sure shares the same opinion. Shi and Viv are also gonna be vey beautiful young women one day. They have inherited their good looks from both of their parents. But also Zahara is gonna be a beauty. God bless Angie and her beautiful family!

I usually think those kinds of celebrity match-offs are ridiculous, but the fact that people chose Angie makes me think they’re O.K. : )
I am very happy that the world, even the supposedly superficial celebrity watchers, were willing to give the title to the only woman I know of who really truly deserves it. She is so unique, such a trail blazer, and so kind, in addition to being stunning.
I think this is doubly great because: Angie is no longer 25. She is looking a bit more womanly lately, and people still chose her first ! Even above 28 year old models !

Inner and outer beauty. It is nice that the younger actors all talk so highly about her. She is a good influence for others to get involved.

i’m fil-am. i live in the u.s., specifically sacramento, though i really miss redding. it’s a great town to grow up in. i actually find it’s more tolerant of diversity than the bigger cities … i think. it could have changed since i left.
While I love Angie and am delighted for any good news about her, I find these polls a little silly. I prefer, “Angelina Jolie is known world wide, for among other things, her striking beauty”, and leave it at that. There are so many beautiful woman in the world and of course many of them are celebrities and many of them are not. I know, it’s all about fun but, when it is all said and done, not to be taken seriously.
When people voted for Angelina as the Most Beautiful Woman in the World, they see her physical & the inner side of her beauty. She is so gorgeous yet so down to earth. I’m glad people have spoken. I hope VF will have her again as their next cover, definitely be buying lots of copies for myself & for my nieces. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

Neela, I agree with you as well. I h8te it when people constantly try to insist that Angie has had plastic surgery. In particular, people seem to like to insist that she had a nose job at some point (along with, of course, insisting that her lips are fake).
Granted, I’m not very good at telling whether someone’s had a nose job unless the before and after are drastically different from each other. However, in terms of the lips, all you need to do is look at Shi, the twins, pictures of Angie when she was young, and pictures of Angie’s mom to know that they’re 100 percent natural!

I have always thought of Angie as a very beautiful woman but when she found herself after she became a mother, thats when I think she became profoundly breathtaking. She may have struggled with herself for awhile, perhaps said and did things she might not now, who hasn’t. I love the fact that she found herself as she held her son in her arms and found the joys of motherhood and helping other mothers. This for me is when she became the woman she is now.

I saw this news on local media here yesterday and I was so happy to see Angie being admired by many people around the world for her beauty. One of the most popular online magazines in our country (with millions of visitors per day) also did the same survey with the same candidates as the VF survey and you know what? The results were even better with Angie leading with a magnificient 61.2% leaving Scarlett Johansson behind with only 11%.
Brad must be very proud of his woman!
I think her beauty comes from within. Being a loving women and mother does make her the most beautiful women in the world. Way to go AJ!

“I’m in love with Angelina Jolie,” Vanessa Hudgens tells the May issue of Self. “Everything she does, I adore.”
Celeb crushes aside, Vanessa is moving on from her dancing and singing days in High School Musical, and is looking forward to her next movie challenges.
“I’d like to do an action film where I could kick someone’s ass,” she reveals. ” I want to be strong and empowered. I want to shock everybody.”

Brad Pitt is sitting in the carpool line on the North Shore while Angelina Jolie films “Salt” — and Long Island moms have taken note.
A source told Us Weekly that Pitt’s daddy duty has led them to “fight over who gets to carpool the kids to school.”
Pitt drops the kids off at a private school in the morning and has been seen picking up bagels at local breakfast spots like the Dunkin’ Donuts he took Maddox, 7, and Pax, 5, to on April 8.

I agree with everybody here that Angie is very beautiful inside as well. That’s what I failed to mention in my first post. Heh.
Jusan, the last time I visited the Philippines was in 1999, when I was 20. I was there for a couple of months and had a blast despite the humidity. It was my first time to travel abroad on my own, so, it was extra exciting.
I know I know to a lot of people too she is not the “most beautiful in the world” but to us since she’s just plain awesome! I guess that’s what fans are for
“Worship” their idols. I day were totally biased no matter how we cut it. It’s interesting how these others admire each other. Just tells you that they are people too. I guess that Australian magazine Who also took a poll and Angie won that too last month! Way to go Ange! I can just imagine her reaction “Awww…how sweet..thank you so much!”
Wow, I just read some Brangelina news online and I can’t believe all the rumors! It’s hard not seeing them and not knowing if they are ok or not. Its highly unlikely but who knows? It is Hollywood. I should have known not to surf the internet for the latest Brangelina news. It was depressing. But then again, just hope, pray and have faith, right guys?
Brangelina4ever, is it about STAR magazine? Please, just ignore it. As a poster from JJB mentioned, STAR and truth do not get along. Tabloids and truth are like oil and water. If we don’t hear any news about the Brange or see them at all, it’s just better not to jump in the speculation /rumor pool. It’s unnecessary worry and stress.
I’m really annoyed with Perez, too for fanning the flames of the latest STAR news and the reference to Nadya and Maury Povich. I wish JJ had not put up the latest headline as well. I feel bad for Angie because once again, she is the one being painted in a bad light.
Brangelina4ever, It is depressing, but the meida have killed many relationships in Hollywood with these kind of daily assults, but it can only happen if they listen and read it and let it take over their lives. Brad and Angie is use to it,so I would think they do not let it affect them.
She is certainly beautiful and is loved and admired by young Hollywood, at lease they know a good heart when they see one. Christy, very well put. I am so glad you wrote what you wrote because admittedly, while I am frustrated with the tabloid (yet it’s easy enough to ignore them), it is more disheartening when some of Brad and Angie’s fans somewhat believe the rags and worry. After four years, many lies (possibly 90%) have been printed about Brad and Angie’s relationship and family. I think that should be lesson enough for all of us that we shouldn’t believe everything printed about them, especially when the stories stem from tabloids and unnamed sources/insiders. If Brad and Angie are unaffected, as they seem to be since they’ve kept such a low profile in the past months—just going on about their lives quietly—then, we should be, too.
I can really kick myself though for becoming frustrated with JJ and Perez.
When Brad did the Rolling Stone interview he said tabloids are not allowed in their house. He wasn’t even familiar with NY Times story about Angie and People magazine.He asked the interviewer “What was it about?”
I know, I really should know better, you guys. And to tell you the truth, I really don’t believe the rumors either. It’s just frustrating that we don’t know the truth, either. Oh well, I’m one of those who get depressed fro one minute but I get over it quickly. Taylor, you are right, I just have to believe and have faith. It’s just once in a while, I like to be reassured. Brangelina4ever, it’s okay. I just don’t think it matters if we know the truth or not. It’s just always better to be positive and to wish the best for this family. I think most of us want to see their relationship succeed, so, that’s what we should focus on. Kind of like the laws of attraction. I don’t mean to get spiritual or new age-y here, but if our thoughts are positive, then, so will the outcome. I do believe that b/c of my own experiences … though usually, I was negative.
