Victoria Justice and Simon Curtis stopped by GMA this morning to promote Spectacular. Victoria says, “I think that people are comparing us to High School Musical because we do have music in Spectacular! but honestly, they weren’t the first to do musicals. There were tons of musicals way before that.”

the reason y every2 is comparing them is cause HSM was a huge high 4 kids. nick n disney r 2 gr8 kida channels so they have 2 have some competion

Everyone is comparing Spectacular to HSM because Nick is just trying to feed off of Disney’s success with all the HSMs and Camp Rock. It’s not like Nick was suddenyl like, “Oh, we should do a musical! How original!” No. They are trying to get in on the musical profits and everyone knows it. Besides, what does she expect us to compare it to? Grease? The entire Spectacular movie couldn’t measure up to a single scene of any of the great, classic musicals out there.
HSM had talent thats the difference between Spectacular and HSM.like in Spectacular, Courtney’s (thats that one girl’s name, right??) BFF started singing and im like SHUT UP!! ANNOYING! it seriously was hard to listen to. and in HSM the songs were well thought out and stuff like that. in Spectacular it sounded like they came up with the songs in like two minutes. HSM and Spectacular, there is like no comparison. HSM is a million times better

They were comparing spectacular to HSM because of singing, dancing and the drama. Like Troy and Gabriella it was Nikko and Courtney. Both are like the same thing.
Trust me it’s the same thing. Spectacular is just copying HSM by using different people
