Video: Jessica Simpson as Jessica Sampson

I’m not a huge fan of this character that Jessica Simpson has created (the “Jessica Sampson” character she did on her TV specials with Nick Lachey), but I do find it interesting to look back in time at the videos of her. I loved the period of time when she was with Nick, and I thought it was her most creative and funniest.

In this video, Jessica is doing a “TV report” on the Internet. Hilarity ensues. Take a look.

Thanks for your comment. The video is indeed from a sitcom that Jessica was working on. But the character was first created from her Nick & Jessica Variety Hour skits.

I hope you’re right, and she gets back to recording! If not country, then something. That’s the only thing that really seems right for her. I agree with you, acting doesn’t seem to be her strong point.

Hi – I think there is some confusion here. The Jessica Sampson character was for a sitcom that was pitched a few years ago but not picked up (she was married to Nick then though, IIRC). It didn’t have anything to do with the Nick and Jessica Specials. I know a pilot was made and I think pitched to ABC – not sure if there were any other eps filmed.

I do agree that she seemed on top of her game when she was with Nick. It just feels like she still is a bit lost after that. :( I hope she does another country record – her vocals on COO are her best, most real in a long time! And don’t do the acting – it’s not her strongpoint.
