Video: Rebecca Black Doesn’t See the Point of Getting Nervous

While the rest of the world was busy gearing up for the Royal Wedding, Rebecca Black made her first awards show appearance at the O Music Awards in Las Vegas last night, and of course, there’s a backstage video. Among the many, many things we learn in this video, the first is that she doesn’t get nervous about performing because she “doesn’t see the point in it.” And strangely, I kind of buy it from her here. She’s clearly excited, but she’s also remarkably calm, managing to speak freely but honestly in the face of an impromptu interview. She does balk against a request to “break out the freestylin’,” but hey, not since she’s not really a rapper (she just puts them in her videos), I’m not sure I can really blame her for that.
