American Idol, Taylor Hicks, performed a great little Christmas medley while performing in Manila, Philippines. I know some of y’all don’t like Taylor but I think his voice is great but, then again, I’m also a big fan of Michael McDonald.

well, I don’t care for Michael McDonald. But I love Taylor Hicks. That is one fantastic voice. Could listen to him all day. And sometimes I do. LOL
Why is not Taylors Hicks’ name in your list of who deserve their own day? He got more votes than any other winner. Seems like that should at least get him on the list.

I love Taylor hicks, he is a great singer.
I like Taylor but I didn’t enjoy this Christmas medley. His voice and style is very distinct and not well suited for Christmas carols. For me, they need a certain amount of reverence or emotion connected to the season or something. JMO though.
Check this out on youtube when he did it at Rockefeller center last year, better rehearsed with his own band. And at the tv show for the president last year he sang, It Came Upon A Midnight Clear. Very good. He has a voice full of reverence and emotion when the song calls for it.
Its just a very special voice IMO.

I found my Idol in season 5. No need to look beyond Taylor. All others pale by comparison.
I have never heard any Taylor fan say they didn’t like Taylor’s voice singing Christmas carols. Are you sure you’re a Taylor fan?
I think he did a great job, and from the sounds of the audience, they did too.
great performance, loved it. love when Taylor scats and shouts out love for the SP. the “i love you too” was great.
