I thought these two video clips of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were just awesome – I hadn’t seen them before so I enjoyed catching up on them.
A couple of kids from the Santa Barbara Middle School were able to briefly interview both of them and even though they were so young, they did such a great job!
First they spoke with Angelina about how she was able to show so much emotion during the scene in A Mighty Heart where Mariane Pearl learns that her husband Danny has been killed. They also asked how kids can be “better world citizens” and my goodness that’s such a wonderful thing for young kids to be asking!
Angelina seemed pretty impressed with both of them – in the sidebar on the YouTube page it claims that she said it was her “best interview ever”. Cute! (She gave some great advice too, as you would expect!)
Next there’s a video where the kids got to talk to Brad. They asked him about New Orleans and what his hopes are for the future of that city. What’s particularly funny, especially in light of the “Brad Pitt for Mayor” t-shirts that I mentioned yesterday, is that the girl asked if he has any political aspirations and he said, “for myself?! Absolutely not!” He had a great answer for all his questions.
What I loved most about both Brad and Angelina in those videos is that neither one of them talked down to them. Not that I would expect them to, obviously, but so frequently people “dumb down” conversations with kids because they assume that they don’t understand anything else. I’ve seen it done to my kids and I’ve seen it done to other children of varying ages. Both of them talked to these kids like adults and I’m glad because based on their questions, these are obviously two very intelligent kids!
Enjoy!

Thanks for the videos, Sherry! Both Brad and Angie were awesome and they treated the children like they were adults. Those videos obviously were from last year (2008) but it doesn´t matter. The end of Angie´s interview was really great since it includes a photo from late 2006 when the family were in Cambodia. It´s remarkable to notice how much Mad, Zee and Shi have grown since those days. Mad is almost 8 years old and the girls are 4 (Zee) and 3 (Shi). And they now have two more brothers (Pax & Knox) and one sister (Vivienne). Wonder when Brad and Angie will take Pax to visit his home country (Vietnam). Hopefully soon. But maybe they wait until the twins are a little bit older. God bless the Jolie-Pitt family!
Those interviews were just wonderful.. How funny is it that two children were able to ask more probing questions then adults twice their ages.. No dumb questions about are you going to have more kid, will you ever get married..
I wish they could have their own show.. all the entertainment shows should take notes and learn how to interveiw a celeb.. These kids know how and they are not being paid the big bucks.. so cute and I saw this orginally a year ago, but you could tell that Brad/Angie were very impressed by the quality of questions they asked..
Still have my fingers crossed that we see the twins soon. IB’s premier is in 10 days so the family will be heading to London.. can’t wait for the carpet..I miss seeing them.
Thanks for the updates Sherry.
Cool teens! Thanks for the videos, Sherry. Their questions are thoughtful, relevant and meaningful. They have a bright future ahead of them. Brad and Angie are gracious as usual and looked like they really did enjoy the interviews.
Brad has new pics on his motorbike in JJ! his not wearing our fave daddy’s helmet but he sure looks hot.. JJ and Radar online greeted the twins already a happy bday! looks like daddy Brad want’s to have a quick ride before he prepares for the twins bday. :)

Maligayang Kaarawan (Happy Birthday) to Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt! Love yah! i wish you a happy life ahead of you, may you be like your mom and dad.. stay cute always! hehehe!
thanks sherry! the video was great! love the song and the way the kids asked the question as if they were not kids at all! and Angie and Brad is so good in answering the questions. they talked to them like young adults and not as kids. i do hope most of the people who will interview them were like this kids, they are really good examples for them! hehehe.. they are not showbiz,, they’ve captured Angie and Brad’s interests.
by the way, what’s the title of the song? hehehe.. :)
HA! Just kidding. I just realized that you HAVE indeed seen these. :) Nevermind…
Hi Sherry! Long time reader, love this site. Just wondering whether you had seen these pictures of Angelina yet: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=126420&id=114472498355
I’ve seen those videos before and I really love them!!!Those kids are going to be great journalists one day!And of course I love the way Brad and Angie answer their questions!Indeed they talked to these kids like adults!
Thanks Sherry!!!
Thanks sherry love the questions posed by the kids
Brad and Angie are wonderful people. And they will raise their children to be good, kind and giving.
The kids did a great job. They didn’t ask the regular cheesy Hollywood questions, instead they asked about things that are near and dear to Angelina’s heart. They showed a lot of poise also.
I agree completely with you Sherry. Watching the interaction (which I have seen before) with those kids makes one see how much they respect children and gives a glimpse into their parenting style. Very reassuring, very giving; and very informative.
