Vote for Angelina Jolie at the Washington Post

These little celebrity contests are complete fluff in comparison to actual awards, such as the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards, and of course the Oscars. Still, it’s fun to go vote, especially since we can’t vote for the important ones! The Washington Post has their Celebritology 2008 Lizzies up, with six categories.

You can go vote right now – Angelina Jolie was nominated for “Most-Admired Celebrity. She’s currently at the top of the chart, beating out Brad’s buddy George Clooney, as well as Mike Rowe, Michael Phelps, and even Oprah Winfrey.

And in the meantime, of course we’re still counting down until October’s Changeling premiere! I can’t wait to see Angelina Jolie on the red carpet again, and hopefully Brad Pitt will be there with her!

I’m so glad they are here. I can’t wait to see Angie on the red carpet.

According to RTL News Journal today @ noon, Brad Pitt, instead of attending yesterday’s Berlin premiere of “Burn after Reading”, took off by private jet to New York to accompany Angelina at her premiere.

Oh, and one of the drivers/assistants was filmed picking up a whole bag of medicine at the pharmacy. They asked him if anyone was ill, no comments, of course.

so much for that fake insider who said it would be just angelina and the twins who made the trip to NYC, and that she would go to the premiere with james haven and her manager geyer. don’t believe crazies on the internet.

I refuse to look the trashy tabloids again. The stories about Angie are so nasty. Tabs should not be allowed to write such tales about celebs. It is just not right. Glad Angie and Brad don’t read the trash.
Looking forward to seeing pics of Angie and hopefully Brad soon.

I just love to watch this dynamic couple! They were born for each other! I can’t imagine a more perfect match. I sometimes wonder what it would be like to live and experience the things they do! Can you imagine the life? I wish I could spend one day with the jolie-pitts! lol

Didn’t realize that there are other movies called The Changeling. They have different story lines.

    hope that help.

According to the NYFF website, Changeling is scheduled for Oct 4 & 5, Sat and Sun. It would be easier to bring everyone along than for Angie to just take the twins (which strong possibility she will). France/Germany is not too long a flight from NY and I’m sure they’ll find ways to entertain the kids en route. Except the twins may be a challenge. I hope Angie is bottlefeeding them by now.

MTV is saying the Changeling premiere is October 10 instead of October 4. Is there any way to check which is correct?

Hi, Pittwatchers – missed you! Sister-in-law visited for a long weekend and doctors’ appointments all yesterday. Lots of urgent family stuff to catch up on plus a few hundred emails – have to catch up on Pittwatch, of course. :-) Oh, and renew my driver’s license.

Hi (popping head in)! HEADS UP: CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON clips shown by CCBB screenwriter Eric Roth (Forrest Gump) at the Mill Valley Film Festival (SF Bay Area) this Saturday. Actor TARAJI HENSON (Hustle & Flow, Something New) will be there too for Q&A. Director David Fincher was invited but no word whether he’s coming.

TRIBUTE TO ERIC ROTH, Saturday, October 11, 4:30 pm, TRIBUTE AND PARTY $60 TRIB11P, TRIBUTE ONLY $25 TRIB11R, Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center

His most recent project brings to life the F. Scott Fitzgerald story The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, about a man who ages backwards, directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett and Taraji P. Henson (Hustle and Flow).

MVFF’s Tribute to Eric Roth opens with clips from his career, followed by an onstage interview. Next comes a special viewing of clips from his latest film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Finally, Benjamin Button co-star Taraji P. Henson joins Roth onstage to discuss their new film and engage in a Q-and-A with the audience.

New York–born writer Eric Roth realized every screenwriter’s dream with his Oscar™ winning adaptation of Winston Groom’s novel, Forrest Gump, an immediate Hollywood classic with some of the most quoted movie dialogue ever. In Gump, Roth masterfully captures turbulent times in American history, from segregation to the civil rights movement to the Vietnam War and the Watergate scandal, in a uniquely humorous manner, through the eyes of a simple man living in a complex era. Roth continued this visionary approach in adapting The Postman and The Horse Whisperer for the screen, following them up with further success in The Insider, Ali, Munich and The Good Shepherd.

I have been trying to figure out if the whole Jolie-Pitt family came to New York when they would arrive. I would think that they would come Thursday so they would have a couple of days to settle in before Saturday. I also was thinking that when Brad was in talks for his new film in Germany he would have taken this RC appearance of Angie into his start date. They have always traveled together. I hope so.

  15. By betty

I read somewhere that Angie has confirmed her presence on RC for premiere of Changeling in NY.

    Anyone knows?

  16. By Lee

Sherry and all, I can’t wait until our girl Ms. Angie steps out. Star magazine has another crappy story on it’s cover and it just goes to show you that the tabloids are foaming at the mouth for an Angie story!

  17. By kim

I went and saw Burn After Reading last night, and although I enjoyed the movie I believe I could have waited until it was out on DVD. I have come to the conclusion that while I enjoy these movies and romantic comedies I don’t really need to see them at the movie theater. We have a big screen TV at home. I believe I will save my movie money for high action and visual effects movies that can only be appreciated on the big screen of a movie theater. ie Wanted

I VOTED FOR ANGIE, SHE IS A VERY GOOD PERSON. BRAD AND ANGIE ARE EQUALLY VERY ADMIREABLE.

  19. By irma

I voted for Angie, she deserves it. October 4 is the big event for Angie, I am hopeful Brad will be with her on the red carpet if he won’t be in NY, we know why he has his daddy duty.
    God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

  20. By Lara

WOW! HUGE difference. Then again, who else would be the most suited for this prize than Angie? Way to go!!!
