Heroes Chapter 3: Villains
Picking up after my last review of Heroes, I stand by my asserting that Heroes is kicking butt this season. But so confusing! I don’t know who is “good” and who is “bad”, and I suppose that’s kind of the point, hey?
Milo Ventimiglia’s character Peter Petrelli has caught himself in quite the mess. In order to save the world, he had to grab Sylar’s power. Which is a nasty nasty power, one that comes with an insatiable hunger. We learn that future-Sylar has overcome this hunger, but not easily. So, present-Peter takes the power, and yeah, he’s going to turn into one tortured hungry guy. Just look at what he tries to do to Angela Petrelli!

Supernatural Season 4
Picking up after my earlier Supernatural review too, I’m lovin’ the show again. The last season I enjoyed it, but this season I love what’s going on. There’s some flack about the show not having enough “brother” moments, but I think it’s quite the opposite. I feel like we’re building to some major brotherly tension, as we saw in last night’s episode. And now, unlike before, we are drawn along by many subtexts and many huge thematic arcs. It’s not just about each episode saving people from weird demons or anything, though that is fun too.
For more about the last episode, “Metamorphosis”, read here, and check out the spoilers for our next episodic treat, “Monster Movie,” which is an episode that will be shown entirely in black and white!!
