Want Mary-Kate and Ashley at Your Fashion Show? You Better Pay.

It’s no surprise that celebrities are paid to make appearances at parties, concerts, events and fashion show. When they appear, cameras appear and buzz happens. A lot of good can happen for a designer if a celebrity is spotted at their show or wearing their garment. Why shouldn’t celebrities cash in on this buzz?

Hollywood Life found out exactly how much some celebs make to sit front row center during New York Fashion Week. And it’s a lot. Rihanna tops everyone by commanding $100,000. Mary-Kate and Ashley are a close second, demanding $80,000 each. This probably explains why we don’t see them at many fashion shows anymore. With the recession, loads of fashion houses cut back and the celebrity thing wasn’t as big a deal anymore. Marc Jacobs didn’t even invite any celebrities to his last showing.
