Not only did I watch a seriously troubling edition of 20/20 tonight about little Caylee Marie Anthony but the Today show also raised serious questions about the preschooler’s disappearance.
It took the girl’s mother, Casey Anthony, a month to report her absence to the authorities and, at the time, she told them that she suspected a babysitter had abducted her. In the meantime, her car had been found, abandoned, and even her mother told police that it smelled like a dead body had been inside of it.
Piece-by-piece, Casey’s story has begun to unravel and now, experts have found traces of chloroform in her trunk. Evidence shows that the 22-year-old mother had been researching the chemical on the internet. At least one expert, Pat Brown, feels that it is “pretty damning information” and said that “there’s no reason for chloroform to be in that trunk. You’re not going to use it as a cleaning fluid around your house. It would only be in some kind of criminal act.”

Honestly, I know that a person must be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law but, in my opinion, Casey knows what happened to her little girl and I hope that she confesses soon so that this family can begin to heal.
