Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has denied rumors that he was set to take over where Scott Weiland left off with Velvet Revolver.
He was said to be joining the band shortly after Scott was sent on his way, but Chester says that it couldn’t be further from the truth.
He tells Kerrang , “I’m friends with all the guys in Velvet Revolver and have played with all of them before. I’m friends with Scott too. I think the rumor that I was going to join Velvet Revolver started because Slash asked me if I’d come play a show with them in Vegas right around the time that Scott left the band. Timing-wise, it didn’t work out for me, though. Maybe people assumed that invitation meant I was joining the band.”
But he says that if the circumstances were different, he might have been tempted:
He adds, “If I wasn’t in Linkin Park anymore and I didn’t know Scott, though, I’d say yes. Who wouldn’t? The music is great and it would be a really cool opportunity.”

Linkin Park= “C” Class Band
Reasons:
1- Lead singer has got childish, immature vocals. Maximum pesky screaming and a very limited vocal range.
2- Lead guitarist can not play “power riffs”; we don’t need to tell that. He can not “solo” like a real guitarist in his dreams.
3- Their rapper can NOT actually rap.; not a real rapper.
4- They got a drummer….. really?
5- DJs aint no musicians….
Even Limp Bizkit blows Linkin Crap away. “Rage Against the Machine” is the greatest-ever band in their genre that owns all….

well all of these bands are good Linkin park has some kick ass songs and yes they have their own way of playing music but it all works out. Velvet revolver is also an amazing band and has had a lot of kickazz songs
and of course guns and roses is a really good band also. I mean yeah linkin park may not be as good as them (in my opinion) but they aren’t crap they are very successful and make a bunch of money. and guns and roses lead singer is realllly good so I don’t know what that dude’s problem was
