Was Chris Brown’s Sentencing for Rihanna Assault Fair?

After pleading guilty to assaulting former girlfriend, Rihanna in February, Chris Brown was formally sentenced on August 25th. The singer was sentenced to stay 100 yards away from Rihanna unless there is an industry event going, in which Chris would have to stay 10 yards away. He was also sentenced to 5 years of probation, 180 day of community labor and 52 weeks of required domestic violence classes sponsored by the Commonwealth Catholic Charities.

Chris Brown sentenced

Rumor has it that both Rihanna and Chris Brown find this sentencing unnecessarily harsh, while many who are looking from an outside perspective claim it isn’t enough of a sentencing. So, I want to know what RihannaBuff readers think. Did Chris Brown deserve a harsher penalty, or did he get raw deal? Let me know in the poll below and/or in the comments!

I HATE Chris Brown for what he did to rihanna
I wish I can call him and beat him up like he did
to rihanna so he can know what rihanna felt like
    when she got beat up.

For the record, I am a big fan of both Rihana and Chris Brown. To be honest I don’t what happened between the both of them is any of the media or our businesses. Whatever happened I’m sure Chris is certainly sorry about, and I believe he knows he made a mistake which he has yet to learn from. Also, I don’t think Chris shouldn’t be in fought by himself; they both should take full responsibility for what went down. And as a women I would have to say that I am truly disappointed in Chris Brown and yes he does deserve to be punished, but not alone.
