This flashback doesn’t go back as many years as some of the videos I like to feature; it was just last year. However, Christina Aguilera’s performance of “I Love You Porgy” at the 2008 Grammy Awards was just so incredibly mind-blowing that I thought it would be fun to take a look at it again.
So many performances these days revolve around fancy lights and pyrotechnics and kick-ass choreography. And don’t get me wrong, I love that as much as anyone, it’s great to see an exciting show. However, sometimes it’s nice to just see someone sitting quietly and belting out the lyrics with as much power and passion as Christina does and not everyone can do that.
She’s truly amazing!
