I’ve suspected it in the past, but this yearbook page confirms I totally would have had a huge crush on Stephen Colbert in high school. It looks like Stephen was always the funny kid, but the self-depricating kind of funny kid, instead of the class clown with a bad full of whoopie cushions (although, who are we kidding, we totally had a crush on that guy too). He’s the guy I would have told my friends I was hanging out with just because he let me copy his physics homework, but it reality I’d totally let him kiss me behind the cafeteria.
Can we look at this page more closely? Stephen was in the Glee Club, the French Club and the Rowdy Club? And his nickname was Lightening? Stephen, we will be your friend, so consider that ambition realized.
