What Brad and Angelina do – A video to remember what’s important

Lately I’ve been posting about the silliest of the silly tabloid headlines so that we can have a laugh. This week I thought I would skip it because we’ve had such a profound conversation over the Vogue issue that came out (313 comments right now, you guys are awesome!) that I thought maybe we could all use a break from the he said/she said/they said media circus game.

I love this video for so many reasons. First of all, I love the song “Iris” so that helps a lot! But what I love is the way it shows Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie helping so many people. During the chorus they flash to some tabloid headlines declaring huge drama, but then they go back to showing the two of them building houses, helping refugees, playing with children in third world countries. It’s very significant because it underlines what Angelina has always said about how she can’t be bothered to read the nasty headlines. They don’t have time to care what the rumor of the day is when they’re so busy with more important things.

I love how the video ends, showing them together, so obviously in love and with their kids. Unfortunately the video is a couple of years old so there aren’t any photos of Pax, Knox, or Vivienne, but there’s a little Shiloh, and plenty of Maddox and Zahara.
