I honestly look at this and i do not see anything that suggests making children look sexy. If they wanted to look sexy, like others have said, they would have been for suggestive and showed some skin. When i see this i believe it is over the top. But when i see it i think of a little girl playing dress up. When i was little i loved to put on some fake high heels, lip stick and make up, boas, beads, dresses, the whole nine yards. And i'm the opposite of girly. I think they were trying to portray and dress up look. People took it too literally. So when a kid at home dresses up like that and people think it's cute and harmless, just because it's here it is bad? They're just showing fashionable clothing for children who want to dress up but can't 100% because they are children. Pedophiles can like anything. If they see an ad like someone else said, of Johnson and Johnson with a naked baby they can get turned on. How is that any better than this? People take it too literally. Like i said, yes it was over the top, but honestly i think they weren't trying for sex appeal and more along the lines of what i and some other people think and that is the dress up look.

This is not right when you photos of littles girls doing dress up all of the clothes are way to big for them. I am sure that if Beyounce could have gotten high heels that fit the girls right she would have gotten them. But she used the smallest size she could find and it is wrong. She should take the adds and change them. There is no reason a little girl should be made up to look this grown up. I also agree with Kari about the pedophiles liking this stuff.

This is to Josefine...First of all if you payed attention to the pic then u would notice she had each child from a different ethnic group. (Black, Asian, Bi-racial and White) So whats your point and there are many things with only whites or asians like ads and commercials and most of the time you hardly see any Blacks so what are you talking about.

How is this inappropriate? The ad is supposed to look like they're playing dress up. The background is of a child's bedroom...LOOK AT THE PICTURE! There's nothing suggestive about it. They're wearing boas and big hats for God's sake because they're playing dress up. There is no skin showing and anyone who thinks this is pornographic needs to get therapy. How is this at all sexy. That's like saying the Johnson and Johnson Baby Oil commercial, where the lady rubs oil on her baby's but it porn! My daughter models. She also wears Baby Phat, Rocawear, and yes, Dereon Girls. Not because I just like to spend money, but because I like the clothes. I shop at Target and at Old Navy too and I buy her clothes to match her personality. Yes, she likes to look like mommy but she's not rocking stilletos and she's not forced into wearing anything. People need to stop lumping kids and sex together everytime a child is made up to look like adult. Are we all oversexed monkeys? P.S. A Pedophile get hot over kids at the playground in dirty overalls...

I think that they over glamourized the clothes with the accessories just for the shoot cuz the clothes on the site aren't as glam as the ones in the ad. They look like clothes my mom would have let me wear at that age.
http://www.dereon.com/nshop/product.php?view=listing&dept=Girls&groupName=Girls716Tops

I believe that the reason why they are wearing heels and the fact that they did the dressup theme is because they don't have a shoe line for girls and they didn't want them wear someone elses shoes. My question is: If they decided to crop the shoes out of the pic would you still think it was inappropriate.
