Remember Mark Sheppard, AKA Dr. Charles Walker? Well, I was curious about what he’s been doing lately and decided to look him up. Obviously, sitting around twiddling his thumbs is not his style! Here’s what’s up.
Mark Sheppard will be in the new Dollhouse t.v. series, which airs February 20th, as a character named Tanaka. So far, IMDB has the following episodes listed:
- Gray Hour
- The Target
- Man on the Street
I’m not a big fan of sci-fi shows, but this one sounds pretty good. Being sent to perform top secret missions and having your memory wiped clean seems like a great start for some fantastic plots.
Sheppard is also guest starring in N.C.I.S. Episode #6.13 on January 13th as Young Mr. Pain and has squeezed in a spot on Burn Notice’s Bad Breaks episode which airs January 1st. He plays Tom Prescott.
I guess Mr. Sheppard still felt he had too much spare time, because he’s also in TNT’s new show Leverage as Jim Sterling, the insurance investigator who is out to stop the modern day Robin Hoods who are led by the man who once had his job. I saw him in The Two-Horse Job on December 16th and he was great. He’s also appearing in at least four more episodes:
- The Stork Job
- The 12-Step Job
- The First David Job
- The Second David Job
IF magazine says that Sheppard will be appearing in another Battlestar Galactica episode near the end of the season, so he’s got some work in his future, too.
It’s nice to see that someone so talented is keeping busy, but does this mean that Dr. Charles Walker is going to be too busy to make a Medium appearance? I guess only time will tell.

Great news for him! Glad to see he’s keeping busy. He’s a very talented actor and it’s always fun to see him in whatever he’s doing. I hope that this doesn’t mean that he won’t be back on Medium (although after his last episode, it looks pretty unlikely that he will be back, although he still could).
Guess who is coming back to Medium this season though? Kurtwood Smith, aka FBI Agent Cooper, will be returning as a ghost. Cool, huh?
Oh, and here’s another spoilery tidbit: in an episode called “About Last Night”, Allison blacks out for six hours while shopping, and finds herself across town. Unfortunately for her, what happened during those six hours becomes very important.
Sounds interesting, huh? I can’t wait for the new season to start. I am so psyched for new Medium eps!!
I caught Walker, uh, Sheppard, in Leverage. He definitely brings that creepy Walker vibe with him.
If you haven’t caught Leverage yet, check it out. It has good writing and twists and turns ine very plot.
I’m excited about him appearing in another Battlestar Galactica. I liked his character.
Dawn, thanks for the upcoming episode info. They both sound good.
My admiration of Mark Sheppard’s acting abilities started with my seeing him on Medium. Been following his career ever since. Thanks for the update!
