If you were thinking that the no nonsense Cynthia Keener must not be a lot of fun to work with, then Angelica Huston may be a victim of her exceptional acting ability. If you watch the promotional video from NBC, you’ll see a woman who has a great sense of humor, obviously admires Patricia Arquette and shows a touch of vulnerability.
Don’t miss the part where she and Patricia are goofing off together on the set.
And Patricia Arquette certainly has some nice things to say about working with Angelica Huston. (Not to change the topic, but I can’t get over how awesome she looks this year. This screen cap is from season 4!)
“It was really thrilling to work with her,” Arquette said of Huston, who will appear in six episodes of Medium’s new season, in response to a query posed by the Roanoke Times. “She is an amazing actress, and it was a really great experience to have her on set.”

Those videos were great, weren’t they, Katelyn? It’s always fun to see them behind the scenes and having fun. Anjelica Huston doesn’t seem like she’d be that laid back, but in the videos, she seemed really cool. You could tell that Patricia was in awe of her. I think the whole set must have been like that, because it seemed like every time GGC said her name, he said “Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston”, as if it’s a permanent part of her name. You could tell that they were all thrilled to be working with her, but Patricia was so cute when she was talking about meeting her at events before she came onto the set. You could tell she was a little starstruck. But Anjelica seemed very gracious and humble, not at all like you’d think someone with her reputation would be. But when you think about it, you have an Oscar winner and multiple award nominee working with an Emmy winner and multiple award nominee working together. Now that’s a power combo in anybody’s book. I can’t wait to see the two of them working together. It was fun seeing them goofing off together too, especially seeing them doing “the bone” (knocking fists). I wouldn’t have expected them to be so hip, especially Anjelica.
Oh, and I agree with you about how good Patricia looks this season, Katelyn. She looks fantastic, and so much younger than last season. Her new hairstyle takes years off of her face.
Hmm what can I say other then I agree with both of you, looking forward to a great season and yes she looks beautiful. She gets better looking everytime I see her in something new.
Happy to have seen Devalos and Scanlon in that video, too. Glad to see all characters returning. Although, if we see Deputy Doll, and I think we will, well poop. Also love Patricia’s look; she’s a looker, ain’t she? (David be lookin’ good, too…)
Did anyone else see the other video with David Arquette directing? NBC had it up very briefly but they took it down. It was a good one too with Patricia and David and Anjelica talking about working together. I wonder why they took it down.
Lol, Rachel, I thought the same thing. David wasn’t looking too bad at all. Jake looked pretty good in the video that they have up with him in it.
Also, I don’t know if everyone caught this or not, but there are a couple of very rare appearances of Patricia’s coming up soon. On January 6, Lifetime Real Women network will be airing an Intimate Portrait of her sister Rosanna, and Patricia appears in it, and also on January 27, on Soapnet will be airing Patricia’s made-for-TV movie, Betrayed by Love, which is almost never shown on television, and isn’t available on video. It also stars Steven Weber and Mare Winningham. It’s one of the few performances of hers that I’ve never seen, so I’m looking forward to that. Check it out.
Also if anyone has that Lifetime Real Women network, I would love it if you could record that Intimate Portrait. I don’t get it here, darnit.
Hey, guys, this is SOOOO exciting. It’s so cool. USA Weekend is going to be interviewing Patricia and Jake this Friday for their WhosNews Blog, and readers can post questions for them at the site.
Here’s the link.
Who’s News Blog – http://blogs.usaweekend.com/whos_news/
It’s in blog titled Donald Trump and Patricia Arquette Return to TV. It’s really neat to be able to ask them the questions that we’ve been dying to know about. I can’t wait to read more about this and hopefully get some scoop on Medium.
Yes, Patricia looks terrific this season. You know what they say – you don’t get older, but better. It’s so nice to see Scanlon! And he’s still a detective! No uniform or walking a beat again – yea for him! Looks so handsome as usual. You know if you listen to the comments on any movies he’s done or the comments on the DVD’s of the Medium seasons, the men who work with David seem to have “man crushes” on him! They always remark that he’s a good looking man or built or “wears the hell out of a suit!”Ha!
OMG! I got a small snippet of a movie that was on late last night called “Black Point” or something like that and Miguel Sandoval was in it playing a baddie! Don’t remember if that one was on his list of projects showing this month.
HEADS UP, People!!!!
It’s time for the annual Patricia Arquette MEDIA Blitz!!! The one time a year when we can look forward to seeing her on the talk show circuit.
According to interbridge, Patricia is scheduled to be on THE VIEW next Friday, Jan. 11th. Don’t know if this is a new appearance or not, but I’ll definitely be watching just in case. Hopefully she’ll be on some other shows as well. Maybe we’ll get a hint as to whether she’ll be attending the Golden Globes or not. Just a heads up, so keep an eye out for other appearances. I’m so excited! Only SEVEN more days until Medium returns!!!!
Yippeee!!
Update: That appearance on THE VIEW on the 11th is a new one for Patricia, and she is also scheduled to be on the TODAY show on Monday, the 7th. Just an FYI.
I hope she’ll be doing some other shows as well, like some of the latenight shows. I wish I lived in NY now, darnit!
I went over and posted some questions at the USA Weekend website. I don’t know how good they are or if they’ll even use them, but hey, I tried.
I’m so glad to hear that Patricia will be doing some interviews to promote the show. Those should be fun to watch!
Holly, those were great questions. I wish I had thought of some of those, but I drew a blank. I would love to hear the answers to those, and I bet they will use yours.
Also in the other blog post about posting your favorite celebs, I suggested that they do a piece on Patricia, in addition to the interview with her this Friday, and the blog host, Lorrie, commented back that she was a fan of Patricia as well and that they would try to get her for a longer piece down the road. So maybe we’ll see a feature on her soon. That would be cool.
I’m curious to see what kind of coverage TV Guide is going to give Medium when it comes back next week. I’m wondering if it will even rate a mention. It usually doesn’t. They’re so biased it’s sickening. There has been almost no mention of Medium returning so far in the entertainment magazines, but maybe next week when it comes back, that will change since there won’t be much else to write about.
I wonder if that interview this Friday will be in print or just online, and if it’s available in the regular issue of USA Today, or just in the Weekend edition. Where do you even get the Weekend edition?
T minus 152 hours and counting, can’t wait.
By the way, since the view is on Friday following the premiere of Medium, perhaps its an interview via satellite. Whatever it turns out, I plan on recording it. So far, just heard of the View and the Today show. Hope they at least interview her inside the studio this year instead of out in the cold.
I agree with you, Tom. I hope that the Today show is at least a decent sit-down interview. Maybe it’s a pretaped interview like she did in 2006 for the season premiere, but hopefully, if it is live, they won’t make her stand in the cold like last year, and it’ll be longer than two minutes.
And I have to share this with you guys. I found a review of the first two episodes of Medium and it is fantastic. You have got to read what this person wrote about the first two eps. It’s here
http://www.daemonstv.com/2007/12/31/medium-season-four-first-two-episode-review/
I love it. SIX MORE DAYS until new Medium!! YIPPEEE!!
[...] Angelica Huston hasn’t been seen in all six of her episodes yet, but we know they were filmed, so I’ll put her here, too. She’s the tough Cynthia Keener in this season’s episodes. [...]
I think that Anjelica always looks good in all of her parts,i’m not that excited with her role in medium, althought i’m a big fan of her.She is doing great and she is very friendly with her fellow co-stars. She does steel the show in every appearence she makes and not only in television.
i was really mad at that joanna wheeler when she killed susie . and how it ended was sad to. if they dont bring anjelica back…i already planned
what the promo should be!
