With Christmas coming I’ve decided to watch this episode again and I’m not surprised it topped the list. Everyhting is perfect in that one, not one flaw.

As a Luke and Lorelai shipper, I rank that one with “Last week fights, this week tights”, “Raincoats & recipes” or “Written in the stars”.
This is the very first episode we can see the great bond between them and how much they care for each other.
I love the scene when they are sitting outside Richard’s bedroom and that Luke teases Lorelai about telling him that he always looks nice.

This is also the episode when she gives him the hat, which will become a symbol of their relationship.

This is also great because Emily doesn’t fail to notice the great chemistry between her daughter and Luke.

This episode is also very good thanks to Emily’s craziness but also her love for Richard (“I demand to go first”). This couple has been interesting to watch troughout the show, they had such a great dynamic.
There is also another great scene when Lorelai enters the room and doesn’t say a word but the looks between her and her father say it all.

Also, icing on the cake: when Lorelai catches Dean knocking on Rory’s window (“pick a more interesting book next time”). It’s just hilarious.

No need to say that this episode is very special to me and I can watch it over and over again.

In “Forgiveness and Stuff” Richard suffers from a touch of angina, not a heart attack, so Starpulse’s summary is slightly incorrect. Good GG episode though and I’m glad it topped the list.

I’ve watched it again! Yes, I’m glad they didn’t kill him, for, it’s the only stable couple that we can remember in GG. Almost as if there was their story. The story of grand-pa, and grand-ma as an example, a rock, a way to follow, the way the girls may have followed now. In season height, we may have seen Lorelay being married and have a baby, and in season nine, perhaps the last one, we may have seen the same thing happen to Rory! And so, they lived happy for ever, and, under the Christmas sky, here is the sign of happiness!

in the roseanne episode fights & stuff, the roseannes husband suffers a heart attack after a horrid fight between them.

maybe its just coincidence? im not sure.
oh, and AS-P was a co-producer of that show for a while.
she does like her references…
