What's on Your iPod? A Couple of Recommendations from She Plays Music

Patsy Kline

When I go for a walk in the morning, I bring my iPod. My early morning, before the world is awake walk is my time. No kids. No work, just me, the dog and my music.

Now, I have lots of music to listen to on my morning walk, but I’d like to share a couple of my favorites.

Patsy Cline: Walking After Midnight. I just love Patsy Cline. One time I was singing along to this song and didn’t realize it and one of my neighbors told me about it later. Embarrassing but at least it was a good tune.

Fiona Apple: Criminal. No, I’m not a bad, bad girl – but I can pretend I’m one for a few minutes. I always liked music with a rough edge and when this came out in 1997, it was a much cooler alternative (to me) than many of the pop princesses dominating the airwaves.
