Do you want to look just like Lisbeth Salander, the short-haired, grimy and industrial heroine of The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo? Well now you can, except without all the short hair, grime and industrialism. H&M is releasing a line in collaboration with Dragon Tattoo costume designer Trish Summerville. But the offerings are a little more chic than, say, this:
The line will include things like hoodies, leather jackets, boots and platform shoes with studs that are meant to pay homage to Lisbeth’s facial piercings. Trish Summerville admits that the clothes aren’t exactly things Lisbeth is likely to wear. She explained:
“In the film, her clothes are quite extreme. They’re really worn down, they’re dirty. So for us, it was taking that kind of concept and giving it more of a realistic fashion feel.”
I kind of want that jacket, but mostly because I assume it’ll make me awesome at computer hacking.
