What’s Up with the Celebrity Death Hoaxes?

It seems like at least once a week we hear that some celebrity is dead and then someone calls their rep to confirm that they are still alive and well. The latest death rumor circulating was about Twilight star Taylor Lautner, but don’t worry…he and his muscles are still walking around Los Angeles. Miley Cyrus has been said to be dead who knows how many times.

Clevver TV is cracking open this case of the celebrity death jokes.

Another Twilighter the book author Stephenie Meyer was the subject of a death rumor when the Twitter-verse RT-ed a fake death a million times over recently.  Tweeting was also responsible for spreading the rumor that Kanye West died in a luxury car accident.  Meanwhile, its been erroneously reported via the internet that Natalie Portman fell to her death in New Zealand, Zach Braff committed suicide and Matt Damon went missing while on a California camping trip that one was apparently fatal too.  Some other Hollywood members who have been caught up in the online death hoax mix include Shawn Johnson, George Clooney and Britney Spears.”

What do you think about all of these celebrity death hoaxes? Who starts them and why do they think they are funny? It’s ridiculous and wrong if you ask me.

Nick Jonas has been rumoured to have been dead 1, so has Miley Cyrus and Emma Watson and Justin Bieber was rumoured to have been dead 2 times now. This is stupid right?
