well. The show of MEDIUM is good. but too much graphic related with blood . its not good for the Kids who will stay up late after 9 pm on Sunday or MOnday nights. Especially with Teenagers . its not good for them either. Why you people have no understanding put the time slot earlier than 11 pm. ITs best for that show to fit Lifetimes or SciFi channel. its too graphic For age 13 and under.(new epsoides and old both)

FYI: Patricia Arquette is very nice lady but she rejected my offer. I hope she doesnt hurt anyone else except me. Wishes her very best luck in her life. She need to be more considerate with other s people s feeling.

Good Luck with her when you meet her in person. I will pray for everyone for their good year of 2008 and protection . GOD bless

That’s a film I’d definitely see. I do hope it gets made and gets the right director for the material. Best wishes.

Can you please answer a question — what are the bundles the narrator throws off the cliff at the end of “The Vanishment”? A reader on Amazon noted this as well. I’d love to know the answer. That’s a great (extremely creepy) book.

Thanks, Kristen. They are harder to find in the States, but Amazon UK has all of them direct or through marketplace sellers.

One possibility about the parallels is that Naomi is optioned by a US producer and has a script which someone may have seen.

As the author who goes as Jonathan Aycliffe, I can assure Kristen that my character was not based on a real 19th-century physician. I’m looking into what seems to be a very close resemblance.

I suppose it’s possible that the Charles Walker character, and the character in the novel “Naomi’s Room”, are both based on some real life 19th century physician who went nuts and started killing people because his wife/girlfriend died during childbirth.

Sometimes real life can actually be more bizarre than fiction – I’m sure most of the country has heard about the Astronaut lady who drove from Texas to Florida with the intent of smacking down the other woman – wearing Depends so she wouldn’t even have to stop to go to the bathroom. Freaky.

Years ago I knew a lady whose husband worked in the Medical Examiner’s office, and the true stories from there were often quite fantastic.

It’s pretty common for a lot of the crime shows to have similar stories. I noticed that on CSI – CSI Miami ran a story ever so similar to one CSI had run a couple of years before. The Law & Order shows often have things right from the headlines.

I’ve not heard of one like Dr Charles Walker before, but who knows?

I often think of that saying that there are only three basic human interest plots, or something like that. How many plots can there be before things start to overlap anyway? And isn’t it fun to watch it happen!

I’m sure it’s probably either a coincidence or one of those deals where one of the show writers may have either read the book or its back cover years ago, then forgot about it. I really doubt most writers “steal” ideas with malicious intent.

No, I’m not a fan of scary books (with one exception) or movies either. They freak me out. Medium is about as scary as it gets for me. Though puppies could be scary…
