I know I did and I wasn’t the only girl out of my friends who thought Jake Gyllenhaal was the next best thing. For me it was those sleepy bedroom eyes and his mysterious demeanor (in Donnie Darko). His later films his personality came out more but it was Donnie Darko that sold me. It resonated with me at that time because I was a similar age to him in the movie.
Here’s some classic scenes from the movie to bring you all back down memory lane. Although this shot is creepy because he’s holding an ax I still think he’s super hunky!
This is also a great scene where he and Gertrude are in the movie theatre right before he burns down the home of Patrick Swayze’s character. They were so cute together.
There may be some of you who prefer Jake now rather then before when he was younger. I can understand that because he doesn’t look like a teenager anymore. Now he looks like a sexy man especially when he sports his scruffy beard.
