Whole Chinese Town to Close for Tom

XITANG, an ancient water town in Zhejiang Province, will close from tomorrow to set the stage for American movie star Tom Cruise to shoot his first outdoor scene in “Mission Impossible III” in China…
Cruise’s schedule is still secret, but the report quotes an insider as saying he will arrive in Shanghai next Thursday.

The Shanghai Daily reports on China’s preperations for Tom’s arrival. Huge chunks of the movie, due out in 2006, will be shot on location outdoors in China, and will feature the high speed guns-and-motorcycle action scenes central to the MI plotlines.
