Why Does Farrah Abraham Hate Her Baby Daddy’s Mother Stormie So Much?

Last night’s episode of Teen Mom included the beginning of a storyline where Stormie Underwood Clark, mom of Farrah Abraham‘s late boyfriend (and father of baby Sophia) Derek Underwood, filed for visitation rights while simultaneously smacking down Farrah’s social security claim. Farrah was clearly upset by Stormie’s filing, but we never got answers on exactly why Farrah hates her ex-boyfriend’s mom so much and doesn’t want Sophia to spend time with her.

One theory is that, in the past, Farrah permitted Stormie to spend some time with Sophia. Soon after, paparazzi photographs of Stormie and Sophia playing together in the park began to circulate online. Reportedly, Farrah was furious that Stormie turned a reunion with her granddaughter into a photo op – and if it’s true that Stormie was paid for the photos, that’s an extra level of exploitation.While it’s possible that the paps just showed up unannounced, it’s not likely that there are tons of photographers regularly hanging out in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Many of the paparazzi photos of Farrah and the other Teen Mom stars has been either in L.A. or New York (where the girls film reunions and special episodes), not their hometowns.

Stormie has also done several tabloid interviews where she slammed Farrah and her parenting skills, including one where she called Farrah “heartless spoiled brat” who “doesn’t deserve Sophia.” It’s possible that Stormie was paid for those interviews as well. In addition to using the press to get back at Farrah and complain about the injustices she believes were done to her, Stormie now uses her Twitter account to try and reach out to Farrah. Recently she tweeted that Derek had health issues that Farrah should know about, then tweeted at Farrah suggesting she contact Stormie for more medical information. In between tweets to Farrah, Stormie tweets at other celebrities, suggesting that Elisabeth Hasselbeck go on Dancing with the Stars and agreeing with Kim Kardashian that old people holding hands are just the cutest.

We’ll probably see more about the Farrah/Stormie relationship (or lack thereof) on Teen Mom this season. As for whether Stormie herself will make it onto the show, that remains to be seen. Either way, it’s another thing that Farrah can talk about with her therapist.
