Like every other discriminating TV viewer in America last night, I watched the final episode of Will and Grace. I’ve always liked the show, thought it was clever, funny, etc.
But I don’t know…the final episode was kind of blah. I mean, come ON – Will and Grace don’t talk to each other for something like 17 years? Give me a break. And what was up with Grace’s matronly do? I find it hard to believe that she of the Big Red Hair would voluntarily put it up in a snood as soon as Lila hit puberty.
I did like the Jack and Karen stuff, but it was almost too schticky. The “Unforgettable” song was pretty, but I felt like we were being prepped to buy the inevitable albums coming out soon of Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally.
The Beverly stuff was just weird. And kind of gross. How long did this go on, Jack pimping himself out to support Karen?
Overall, I felt like this was an After School Special, it was that schlocky. Just too many neatly tied endings and predictable storylines. I MUCH preferred the pre-show with behind the scenes information and clips from previous episodes.
