Remember when there was some sort of rumor going around that Brad Pitt was filming some last-minute footage for Sherlock Holmes? It turned out to be false and it was denied all around but the rumors have persisted.
If this ends up being true, it could be that the story just got confused back then because it turns out that the latest word is that Brad Pitt may play Moriarty in a sequel to the as-yet-unreleased Sherlock film. Moriarty is Sherlock’s big nemesis which would make Brad the bad guy.
There’s been no confirmation yet as to the validity of this story, but it could certainly be in the works. It may be that they want Brad to play the role and are working on the details to sign him on. I would love to see this for several reasons. One, while I don’t like to read mysteries (I hated the Sherlock Holmes book I had to read back in high school) I do enjoy watching them and I’m already looking forward to the first film; having Brad in the sequel would be incredible.
Two, I would love to see Brad playing a bad guy. Don’t you think it would be great fun to see Brad as Sherlock’s biggest enemy? I think that would be great.
Third, and this is almost stating the obvious but think about it – Brad Pitt and Robert Downey Jr. AND Jude Law all in one movie. The drool factor alone is astounding. I would very much enjoy watching all three of those fine-looking men on the big screen, thank you very much!
I’ll keep you posted if I hear of any sort of confirmation but in the meantime I’ll just keep hoping that they got this one right, because I think it sounds like a wonderful idea!

Phoebe- I agree. Shi probably had an accident and knocked out her tooth. My brother knocked out a tooth by running at top speed into a chair (by accident, that is. He was just running around playing, and unfourtnately collided with the chair) when he was around Shi’s age, so I know it’s possible!

i don´t think the rumors are true – although can play a good as well as a villain i just don´t see him in that movie.
about Shis tooth, 3 years really is too old to loose a tooth naturally BUT Shi is such a powerful little girl, perhaos she had a little accident? i almost lost my front tooth at the age of two becuase i fell down on my face, that happens sometimes….

Big debate on those sites about the missing tooth. We all know 3 yrs old is too young to loose a tooth naturally, I wonder what happened. I love Shi’s look, she really is a tomboy….interesting. I also can’t believe they are all the same height, also interesting.

This would be a great role for any actor Moriarty is a great character 1 part crazy, 1 part genius. I hope Brad can pull it off if this is true.
Pitt is great at playing being a character actor. He and Angelina are both smart in that they play different characters and don’t get pigeon-holed in one genre of movie. Variety is what make actors interesting. Loved him in 12 Monkeys, Snatched, Fight Club; those were some crazy characters.
Hey, wasn’t BP a bad guy in the Jesse James movie? But i think that BP can play any role he takes on. Don’t you think ?????
Actually this information jibes with director Guy Ritchie’s recent comments that he had talked about having Brad Pitt in the movie and might still. If they are already planning a 2nd movie nothing would be for sure yet, especially since the first movie hasn’t opened yet. Brad was recently quouted saying that he does not plan too far ahead, so he can be open to last minute challenges.

I apologize in advance if anyone gets stuck in moderation today. I have to attend a funeral for my uncle this morning and afternoon, then I’ll be home for a couple of hours before I have to rush off for a meeting of the Parent Participation Organization at my daughter’s school after supper.
