I am saddened by the news this morning about the confrontation that supposedly happened last night in Toronto between Will.I.Am and Perez Hilton. Ironically, when I went to bed, I had just seen Perez’s Tweet about how Lady Gaga had been wonderful at the MuchMusic Video Awards show and decided to call it a night. Then this morning, I awoke to messages from my pal Betsy about the whole debacle. WOW! Crazy!
I won’t try to take sides, since I wasn’t there, but I definitely have my opinions about the entire mess. I’ll give you the overview of what has been said by both sides and let you draw your own conclusions.

Perez Hilton claims to have been assaulted by both Will.I.Am and his bodyguards after the awards show was over last night. And true to Perez’s style, he tweeted the whole thing. LOL! Here are some of the tweets he sent during the incident:
Perez Hilton:
- I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.
- Still waiting for the police. The bleeding has stopped. I need to document this. Please, can the police come to the SoHo Met Hotel.
- I spoke to my lawyer. I really need to talk to the authorities. Please come to the SoHo Met Hotel. Have called the police. Need them here.
- @adimjuna I called the police BEFORE I Tweeted about it. They were not showing up. I felt helpless.
- @iamtherealwill There are multiple witnesses. You can deny all you want. The truth is the truth and I am telling the truth.
- @thecranleytwins Violence is NEVER called for!
- @DyavolMahlyenki I can handle a verbal assault. But to hit me? To make me bleed? No. I can’t and won’t accept that.
Then, Will.I.Am set up a Twitter account to reply to those allegations.

OK, this is my thoughts (BTW – love the site). I have to side with Will. If you saw his statement prior to the one where he basically told Perez “Enough”, he said that Perez disrespected Fergie when she approached him to see what the heck his problem was. Perez went over the top and I just don’t know what has happened to him in the past couple of years but he’s gotten downright mean – moreso than usual. Again, this is my opinion but sadly I will no longer deal with Perez in any capacity. I think the Peas are taking the high road with the “no comment” since that evening and, as for Polo – I understand his reaction to Perez’s provoking of Will and his camp.
