The Little Mermaid! Beautiful songs and gorgeous animation.
I think my first Disney movie was snow white, I saw it in the theater and I was quite young. I remember being very scared by the witch and the dwarves kind of freaked me out too. When I was a little older I really got into Escape from Witch Mountain and Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
It was either Bambi or Snow White- I saw both when I was around the same age and were in-theatre experiences. I remember thinking Snow White was pretty awesome and actually not going through that ritual childhood freakedoutness after seeing Bambi. The Little Mermaid was the first Disney movie I ever owned (on VHS, hee) and I looooved it.
My memory isn’t that good. I know that I saw Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, The Shaggy Dog, Herbie the Love Bug, The Apple Dumpling Gang, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, ….. (not sure if all of them are Disney but they are memorable).
The first Disney movie I ever saw (and the first movie of any kind I ever saw in a movie theater) was “Mary Poppins” (Yes, I’m that old!).
BTW, I was a very young tyke then.
I can’t pinpoint which was my first Disney movie, but as a child “Cinderella” was my favorite. I remember begging my mom to buy me some glass shoes. lol
My first Disney movie was Snow White and Seven Dwarfs. I just loved it. I would walk around the house…trying desperately to whistle. I never could! But boy did I try. My first Disney movie that I saw in the theater was The Lion King which will always be one of my favorites. ”
I’ve got a love-a-ley bunch of coconuts, diddely-diddely, There they are a-standing in a row. Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head…”. (You have to do the bum-bum in your head while you sing it like Scar.)
I have no idea how old I was..maybe 4 or 5, but Peter Pan was my first Disney movie. I remember thinking it was so magical to be able to fly away to another land. It is still my favorite Disney movie.
The first Disney movie I ever saw was “Sleeping Beauty” in the theater when I was nine or so. I love that movie! It is my favorite Disney movie to this day.
The first Disney movie I ever saw was, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” I went to see it at a theatre with my Godparents and even though the movie scared me a bit, it was a nice experience.

My first Disney movie was “101 Dalmations.” It was also the very first movie that I saw at the movie theater, so it was a new experience all the way around.
