If you love American Idol, chances are that you probably like singing and performing, just like the students in the upcoming movie, Fame. If that’s the case, then you might be interested in this awesome contest! We are giving away three prizes to three lucky winners and the best part is that it’s easy to enter the giveaway!
All you have to do is leave me a comment (with a valid email address so that I can contact you if you win)
about why you love the performing arts, American Idol or the original Fame television series/movie! Pretty easy right?
Here’s what you could win!
- A Memorex MKS-SS1 SingStand Home Karaoke System that allows you to sing along to music from your iPod or any MP3 device with a headphone jack. Dual microphone inputs mean that you can sing a duet (only one microphone comes with the system so you’d have to buy a second one) and the keyboard input allows you to play along to your favorite songs! Pretty cool!
- One copy of the soundtrack from the new Fame film. I have heard a preview and I think it’s great!
- One copy of the original Fame movie starring Irene Cara, Eddie Barth and Laura Dean.
Our contest ends on September 18, 2009 at 11:59pm PST so get those comments in right away!
Still want more?
LG is holding their very own contest and you could win $50,000!!!!! That’s huge! Visit the contest’s official website and submit a video of yourself performing the Fame theme song! Make sure you read the contest rules and good luck!

The price you pay for a karaoke machine will depend entirely on the number of features you want included.
Yaa i love the fame movie and had a great chance of Winning a Karaoke Machine.
I love American Idol because it gives talented people with no conections a chance to be seen and heard and show their talent.
Americal Idol is great! There has been some really great talent to come through there. It’s always so thrilling seeing them come into their own.
Oh, what a great prize!
I love it because I get to see talented people I didn’t know of before
I loved watching the series “Fame”. I hope the movie is going to be good. I love to sing so this would be perfect.
My daughter would love this prize. She is a big fan of American Idol.
I love American Idol because it gives unknown talented people the chance to make it big. The raw talent is just incredible
My Niece is getting her masters in Music at UTEP, and have always followed her performances. Music is a very important part of all cultures, bringing people from all over , together even if only for a few hrs. Music, Dance, and the Art of Film should be an integral part of everybodys lives.
This is one of my favorite movies! I still have the original but would love to have this new copy. Thanks for the chance to win it.
i love Fame because all the music is catchy! I am so into music, it is a big part of my life, and I definitely love Fame for its nostaligic value.
I love the performing arts because, whether you’re a performer or a spectator, they allow you to escape reality temporarily and get lost in the joy of creating or witnessing something that’s a perfect marriage of skill and practice, and when hours of work pay off with a great performance, there’s no better feeling! I think that’s captured perfectly by the original “Fame” – the desperate yearning for the student’s to prove themselves and let out their creative instincts – and it looks like the remake of the film has this as a central theme, too!
I love the arts because they let me express my self!
I was always in drama class, chorus class and all the art classes growing up. Now working two full time jobs and out of college I have no time for even doing a painting or going to kareoke night at a bar :(
I would LOVE to be able to rock out in my own living room, even if it’s just an hour between the two jobs. My girlfriends would love it as well!!!
I need something fun in my life, and I was always happy singing/painting/performing!

this is so neat
I have been in the performing arts business for 25 years as a stagehand. It’s not just a business, it’s a way of life. If you don’t love it you can’t survive it. Interesting note in that I worked on the original production of Fame the Musical. Six weeks of rewrites but a really fun cast including a very young Harold Perrineau (Lost, Oz). It will be interesting to see how the new movie holds up.
i love american idol i have been watching it since kelly clarkson. i love to see someone come up from nothing and win it all!
I loved the original Fame and can’t wait to see the new one. The karaoke machine would be a blanst. Thanks so much!
I love American Idol because it exposes people to all different types of music. It also gives everyone a chance at “making” it – no matter if they sing country, pop, rock or classical. Music is such a wonderful way to connect the young and old.
Thanks for the chance!
