Living TV, the channel that shows Britain’s Next Top Model is having a pre-show competition. Four girls will compete on their website for a chance to participate in the fifth cycle of BNTM and viewers get to pick which girl makes it into the house and onto the show.
The four girls are Zoe Newlove, who may be familiar because her family made the news when her father was beaten to death last year; Hayley Buchanan, a small-town Scottish girl; Scarlett Catterall, who thinks she looks like Lily Cole; and Josephine Stevens, a BNTM-fanatic who hopes to turn fandom into stardom.
Voting opens this Friday and Living will be revealing more information about each of the girls–including sharing some video footage–as the voting goes on. Cycle 5 is expected to air next spring.
What do you think of this plan? Is it a good idea to get fans involved in the selection process? Or does it take away from the show as a model search?
