Zac Efron Could Be the Next Jonny Quest

Zac Efron’s next big role could be playing Jonny Quest!

Rumor has it that the cartoon “The Adventures of Jonny Quest” is heading for the big screen and both Zac and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who would play Race Bannon, are some of the names being tossed around.

The Adventures of Jonny Quest” would be a live-action adaptation of popular Hanna-Barbera’s sci-fi adventure cartoon series. It tells the story of an 11-year-old boy who accompanies his father, Dr. Benton Quest, on extraordinary adventures. However, it looks like the movie version may be going for an older Jonny to attract older fans.

I’m not sure what the timeline is for this — Zac is supposed to start filming Footloose pretty soon, and wasn’t it rumored a while back that he’d be in the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie too? We haven’t heard anything else on that one either.
