Zac Efron Lobbies at the White House

Zac Efron and his Me and Orson Welles co-star Claire Danes made an important stop this past Tuesday while they were in Washington, DC to promote the movie and attend the premiere.

Zac, Claire and director Richard Linklater made a visit to the White House where they appealed to the U.S. government for more arts funding in public schools.

The three met with officials from President Barack Obama’s administration to campaign on behalf of the Americans for the Arts organization. Among the representatives they met with was actor-turned-political adviser Kal Penn, who quit Hollywood to work with Obama in July.

Zac was full of praise for civil servants, saying: “I admire anyone who has devoted their lives to public service.”

this pic is from the Toronto film festival. Loved looking @ all the photos. Love the way the color of the suit brings out the blue in Zac’s eyes.
