Zac Efron arrived at dance rehearsals for “High School Musical 3″ about 2 weeks later than everyone else. I recall him saying that was a HUGE mistake. The boy had some catching up to do.
He was very nervous about the Waltz scene in the movie, so he put in a little extra practice with girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.
“I started rehearsals two weeks later than everybody else so I had to put in extra time to catch up,” Efron said. “I had to learn the waltz and some ballroom stuff, which was interesting.
“I do not know why people ever did it. It is so unbelievably hard. I thought ‘Was this really classed as fun?’ It was so difficult to learn. When I got the hang of it and got it down it was OK.
“Luckily with Vanessa, she is so easy to dance with. She kind of leads me. She made it a lot easier but we practiced a lot.”
We will get to see Zac and Vanessa’s Waltz during the prom scene. Oddly enough, I don’t remember any Waltzing at my prom, but this is Hollywood. 
Zac, Vanessa and the rest of the gang will strut their stuff in theaters on October 24th, with the release of “High School Musical 3″. Excited yet?
