Zac Efron may have already chosen a film to work on this summer in place of Footloose, which he bailed on earlier this week.
Zac has apparently signed on for the big screen adaptation of “The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud,” based on the novel of the same name.
The story is about a caretaker at a cemetery who has weekly meetings with a younger brother whose accidental death he feels was his fault. The book has some pretty good reviews on Amazon — I may need to pick it up!
Filming is set to begin in July and the film will be directed by 17 Again director Burr Steers.
