On Monday, November 2nd, a brand new episode of the hit Disney XD show Zeke and Luther airs and as usual, it sounds like a riot! The episode is entitled “Soul Bucket”. I had the chance to speak with Ryan Newman, who plays Ginger, the other day and I’ll have the interview up soon. She was so much fun to talk to!
In "Soul Bucket", Luther tells his grandmother that he and Zeke are in a successful rock band called Soul Bucket, but when she asks them to perform at her birthday party; he must decide if he’s ready to tell her the truth. Meanwhile, Ginger tries to find a new best friend, in "Zeke and Luther," MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2 (7:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney XD.
Zeke and Luther live in a mythical Northern California beach community called Pacific Terrace, where they can be found chilling in the sunny driveway out front, perfecting skateboard tricks in an alleyway behind a nearby mini-mall (dubbed “ramps plus”), or cruising down to the pier overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean on their primary mode of transportation, skateboards.
Quick to challenge the boys’ claim to being the best skateboarders in the neighborhood is friend and foe Kojo, also 15. Kojo’s got a big attitude and a big mouth, and takes great pleasure in taking Zeke and Luther down a peg whenever he can. Another thorn in their side is Ginger, Zeke’s 12-year-old sister, who finds her brother’s skateboarding dreams childish, to say the least.
Zeke is a born leader and the brains of the operation. In many ways an average kid, he’s got a messy room and could be getting better grades, but when it comes to their skate boarding aspirations, Zeke is a taskmaster. The only thing that could possibly distract him from his training is the crush he has on his new neighbor from England, Olivia.
In sharp contrast to Zeke, Luther is the decidedly unconventional one of the pair. Kind-hearted, sensitive and easily distracted, Luther always looks to best friend Zeke to get them out of a jam. They have an enduring friendship.
